Adopting a Puppy

LONE STAR SCHNAUZER COUNTRY is the leading Miniature Schnauzer breeder in the greater Houston area.  Our dogs are all AKC Registered Miniature Schnauzers, and we strive to adhere to the Miniature Schnauzer breed standard set forth by the AKC as closely as possible. Therefore, we have selected our dogs from quality, healthy, champion bloodlines.

Our puppies are loved immensely and spend everyday in the company of our family.  So they are very well socialized and make exceptional pets.  In addition, before your puppy is ready to go home, he/she will have undergone an extensive veterinary check up, will have had their tail docked, dew claws removed, and will be up to date on vaccines as well as wormings.  Details of which will be provided in our sales agreement which can be viewed here along with our guarantee against congenital health defects.

We also proudly register all of our puppies with the American Kennel Club and provide each of our adoptive families with their puppy's registration papers.

Adoption Includes: 

  • Health guarantee on genetic life altering diseases and disorders

  • Vet Assessments

  • A complete medical history showing all wormings, vaccines, etc. that have been administered to the puppy. 

  • 30 days of free insurance coverage administered through Trupanion Pet Insurance

  • Microchip along with registry information

  • Early Neurological Stimulation

  • Age-appropriate socialization with people as well as other dogs

ALL PUPS ARE SOLD AS PETS ONLY, AND ARE THEREFORE SOLD ON LIMITED AKC REGISTRATION.  MEANING THE PUPPY YOU GET FROM US WILL BE REGISTERED, HOWEVER ANY OFFSPRING OF THAT DOG WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE REGISTERED WITH AKC.  All of our Schnauzer pups are sold with natural ears.  However, they will have their tails docked as well as their dew claws removed.

Deposit Process:  

There is a $300 deposit is required to reserve a puppy.  This reservation fee is included in the total price.  The balance will be due when the puppy is picked up.  Once the deposit is placed, it is not refundable. It is however, always transferable to another litter. DEPOSITS can be made via Zelle, Cashier's Check, Money Order, or Cash. Final payment for puppies that are picked up must be made via CASH the day the puppy is picked up.  Final payment for puppies that are going to be shipped must be made by the time the puppy is 6 wks old via  PayPal, or CASHIERS CHECK.  If a cashier's check is sent, PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO "STEPHANIE EDWARDS", NOT "LONE STAR SCHNAUZER COUNTRY".

If you're not located in the greater Houston area, please note that we are within driving distance of other major cities such as  Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, and Corpus Christi, as well as the surrounding states of Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.  If you don't wish to drive, we also provide puppy nanny services that allow

our puppies to fly all over the country.
